Shutdown remote PCs on a Network

It is often troublesome for IT Administrators and Lab Technicians when they need to shutdown PC's which are connected to a network. though they are connected to a network, the Client PCs need to be shutdown manually. Scheduling a shutdown at a particular time will ease the task but in Computer labs and Cafes where there is no time limit, it won't be a good option. So here I am sharing a software that will allow to shutdown remote PCs on a network with the software installed in any one of the networked PC...

The software of PowerOff developed by Jorgen Bosman. According to the publisher's website

Poweroff is a small program for Win95/98/NT/W2K/XP to schedule a shutdown/reboot/logoff/poweroff/Standby/Hibernate/Lock/Wake-On-LAN at a certain time. I also support command line options that allows poweroff to be used in batch scripts. It has a built-in scheduler, it allows you to run a program before doing the action, you can give a warning message to the user, wait for a process to finish before doing the action and full remote control is supported.

PowerOff is a standalone application and doesn't require any installation and can even run from a Pen drive.
