KM Player- A Free Media Player With Multi-Format Support!

Selecting the BEST media player has always been really a tough job. We all need a IDEAL player which is really good, plays all the video and audio formats, without any annoyance. Even if all of these requirements are fulfilled by any player, we want it also to be a light-weight software which can startup fast in no time when ever we open a media file. These all features were fulfilled by the 'VLC Player', but there is one more Negative Point in VLC, that it doesnt have an attractive interface. Since the first release of VLC, there has not been changes regarding the interface. Its still the same old skin. Yes they provide different skins which we can download from their site and apply, but I dont recommend this because these skins make your VLC rather bulky!

But when I came across this KM Player which was first developed by a South Korean developer, I really liked it interface and its highly customizable, light-weight and a free player too! It also has a high video and audio support which forced me to change from VLC to KM Player ( yes, previously I used VLC Player).

Enabling Group Chat or Conference Chat in GTalk

One of the main features that I like in Windows Live Messenger is that it supports Group Chatting. Whenever I have a lot of friends online I select this option. Even Facebook as I know so far doesn’t support this option in Chats. However it is possible to add group chat functionality by creating a new group and enabling the option. Just a few weeks back, I downloaded Google’s GTalk and liked it too since it was very light and many menus didn’t confuse me. But weirdly, it didn’t have a group chat option! I was really surprised and made sure that had the latest version available installed but still I couldn’t find a group chat option. I did a bit of Googling and found that actually there is no in-built group chat functionality in GTalk but can be done by other methods...

Accelerate µTorrent Download Speed

µTorrent is one of the popularly used bit torrent client. Even though the download speed of file through torrents usually depends upon the number of seeds, there can be some situations where even though the seeds are fine, the download speed isn’t maximum. There are manual ways by which we can get maximum speed by altering configurations but it doesn’t work all the time. So here is a tool which will automatically the change the configuration of µTorrent to enable maximum download speed without having to change the configurations each time manually.

Sandboxie v3.56

We all come across different virus when using a computer especially when we are connected to the internet. So for our security we keep an Anti-Virus software which can detect the virus and save our PC from being infected. But still most of us will know that there is no Anti-Virus out there which can detect all the virus present (well that's a fact!). So its better to prevent a virus before being infected rather than curing it afterwards.

Here is the description of its functioning...

Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10

There are many virus out there which infect a computer and destroy valuable data contained in it. And there are many Anti-Virus softwares too as a counter-attack which block these viruses from infecting and even repair an infected computer. But in some situations like when a computer gets infected by a virus which makes the computer unable to start. In such case Kaspersky Rescue Disk will be a best solution.

Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 is designed to scan and disinfect x86 and x64-compatible computers that have been infected. The application should be used when the infection is so severe that it is impossible to disinfect the computer using anti-virus applications or malware removal utilities (such as Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool) running under the operating system. In this case, disinfection is more efficient because malware programs do not gain control when the operating system is being loaded. In the emergency repair mode, you can only start objects scan tasks, update databases roll back updates and view statistics.

Facebook Chat Emoticons v1.0 (Software)

Nowadays, Facebook is becoming a fad and there is probably no one who is unaware of this social networking site. One of the many features that Facebook has introduced is the floating Chat bar which is neat and has options to set our status to offline unwanted people by grouping them into categories. There are many built-in emoticons for Facebook but many are unaware of it and use just traditional messaging emoticons like :-) ,:-( and so on. I am one of those many people who are lazy to remember all the shortcuts to use them.

So, here I am introducing my software Facebook Chat Emoticon v1.0(FBCE v1.0). This is a custom software written by myself just for my personal use. But, when I got enough free time, I added a GUI to it, modified the code to make it user-friendly and decided to publish to it. The download link can be found below.

Royale Theme for XP

I have always set my XP theme set to its default Luna. I prefer not to change my theme using any type of Transformation packs because it makes the computer considerably low. I usually prefer themes that is designed for XP that doesn't need to patch my UXTheme.dll. Today I came across a theme which was originally designed for XP Media Center Edition. The theme has a glassy effect for the Taskbar and the cool glow type effect is most preferable to all people who doesn't want to slow down their computer but still want to have a good theme for their computer...

Chatting in Schools and Universtities where Messenger is Blocked

Just before a couple of months we got Net connection for our lab. We could use the Net to surf the web, chat and visit Facebook. But soon the Teacher found out this and warned us not to use the Net. Believe or not, I have never used the Lab's Net connection to check my mail or to use Facebook (that's so nice about me )because the Lab computers were connected to each other and if I Sign In to my account the cookies would be saved and anyone could access my Inbox on the network. Also some computers didn't have Messenger installed. So how to use Messenger when the Administrators have uninstalled them? Here is a list of alternate ways to use them...

Download All Links in Mozilla Firefox

All of us are very familiar with Download accelerators. They allow pause and resume downloads making them very useful. Today, I came up with a website that has links to many software utilities. I wanted to download all of them but had to download each of them with seperately. Then I remembered that in Internet Explorer, right clicking on the webpage gives an option to Download All with FlashGet if you have FlashGet installed. I couldn't do this since I was using Mozilla Firefox and decided to find an alternative. Here is a website that provides an option to download all links in a webpage...

Displaying list of recently opened Softwares

I have a PC in my house with Windows XP installed and have a lot of softwares that I use for my personal uses. I normally do not allow anyone to open these softwares especially MSN Messenger since it has my ID and Password remembered in it. Whenever I share my computer with anyone, I give instructions to them not to open such and such softwares. Just recently I had a similar situation where I had to share my computer. As usual I said him not to open MSN Messenger. But when I came back from my work I found something suspicious and asked him whether he had opened my Messenger. He said me he hadn't but I decided to check up and found a very useful software to check the list of recently opened Applications and Softwares...

To solve this problem all version of MSN Messenger has the Remember me option so that your Id and password will be remembered by the computer. But in the latest MSN Messenger 2009, even though the option is present it wont remember the password so you need to type it each type you login. An effective solution for this problem is...

Shutdown remote PCs on a Network

It is often troublesome for IT Administrators and Lab Technicians when they need to shutdown PC's which are connected to a network. though they are connected to a network, the Client PCs need to be shutdown manually. Scheduling a shutdown at a particular time will ease the task but in Computer labs and Cafes where there is no time limit, it won't be a good option. So here I am sharing a software that will allow to shutdown remote PCs on a network with the software installed in any one of the networked PC...

Unlimited FREE Kaspersky Anti-virus 2010 Genuine License for More Than 6 Months

Many of my friends used to ask me how could they activate the Trial version of their existing Anti-virus. Keygens and activation serial numbers from Torrent websites is usually a preferred choice and it works fine until they have black listed they key. AVG Anti-virus would be a good option since it is a freeware. But I myself do not prefer AVG because I found it very buggy and didn't have a good Interface. I prefer Kaspersky and it has managed to detect many spywares and Trojans from my computer and I have been using Kaspersky for years. The only problem I had encountered using Kaspersky is the difficulty to install it over and over since I only have Trial version with me. I do not like to use Keys from Torrent websites since they can be blacklisted. So I decided to do some Googling have some Good News for you. Here is an opportunity to get a Genuine Kaspersky Anti-virus 2010 activation serial number...
